Coordinating Lead Author, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Fourth Assessment Report Working Group III (IPCC AR4 WGIII) Issues Related to Mitigation in the Long-Term Context.

The major activity of the IPCC is to prepare in regular intervals comprehensive and up-to-date assessments of policy-relevant scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of human induced climate change, potential impacts of climate change and options for mitigation and adaptation. At its eighteenth session in September 2001 the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) decided to continue to prepare comprehensive assessment reports and it agreed that the AR4 would be completed in 2007. According to the IPCC procedures governments and participating organizations were invited to submit nominations of authors and expert reviewers for the AR4 and the Working Group Bureau selected Coordinating Lead Authors (CLA), Lead Authors (LA) and Review Editors (RE) for their respective contributions to the AR4.
