Albert Hiesl is a research associate and PhD candidate at the Energy Economics Group at the Technical University of Vienna. He holds a degree in electrical engineering (power engineering and energy economics) from Vienna University of Technology.

At the Energy Economics Group he participates in several research and consulting projects in the field of energy economics, energy system modelling and optimization problems. His main research interests cover photovoltaic systems in combination with decentralized storage solutions as well as e-mobility.
He is also responsible for the "Energiegespräche" which take place four times a year in the Technical Museum in Vienna.
Albert was also in the Organisation Committee of the international conferences IEWT 2015 and IEWT 2017 and is now strongly involved in planning and executing the 15th IAEE European Conference which takes place in September 2017 in the Hofburg Congress Center in Vienna
