Bintang is a PhD candidate at the Energy Economics Group (EEG) since October 2021. He is affiliated to IIASA, where he joined the Ecosystem Services and Management Program (ESM) in October 2017. Bintang's research focuses on examining the sustainability of negative emissions technologies, particularly Bioenergy and Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS), from both land-use and energy systems perspectives. These topics also comprise his PhD research.
