Florian is a research associate and PhD candidate at the Energy Economics Group (EEG) since April 2021. He studied Electrical Engineering (Energy Systems and Automation Engineering) at TU Wien. At the EEG, in his research he focuses on the integration of renewable energy technologies into energy systems and the development of long-term decarbonization scenarios in this context up to the year 2050. His research interests include open source modeling of several flexibility options in energy systems and sector-coupling of the electricity, heat and transport sector.
