Marlene joined the Energy Economics Group (EEG) as a research associate and PhD candidate in October 2020. After studying business administration with a focus on energy, environment and industry, she coordinated and developed projects on energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies in Asia on behalf of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). Her research focus now at EEG is on the integration of different storage technologies into energy systems to support the flexibility provision in the energy system debarbonization transition.
